Skoda Slavia Facelift Launch Today 2026: Price, Features, Engine and New Changes

The Skoda Slavia Facelift 2026 is launching in India today, October 6, 2026. The updated sedan brings refreshed styling, more technology, additional comfort features and a major transmission upgrade. Skoda had already unveiled the updated Slavia in August, while the official price announcement and market launch were scheduled for October 6.

The new Slavia continues to be based on the India-specific MQB-A0-IN platform and remains one of Skoda’s important models in the Indian sedan market. Production of the facelifted version has already started at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s Chakan facility in Pune.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Launch Today

The biggest update is that the facelift retains the familiar Slavia design while making the sedan look sharper and more premium. The front gets new LED headlamps, updated daytime-running-light signatures, a revised grille and changes to the air dam.

At the rear, the Slavia gets redesigned LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators and a new trim element featuring SKODA lettering. New alloy-wheel designs further differentiate the facelift from the outgoing model.

The sporty Monte Carlo variant will also be offered, bringing black exterior elements, Monte Carlo badging and dual-tone colour options.

New Features in Slavia Facelift

One of the biggest highlights is the addition of a 360-degree Area View camera. It is designed to make parking and manoeuvring easier, particularly in crowded urban areas.

The sedan also gets a segment-first Rear Seat Massage function, which adds a premium comfort feature for rear passengers. Skoda has also upgraded the digital cabin experience with a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and a larger 10.1-inch infotainment display.

The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also introduces an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent, giving the updated Slavia a more connected technology package.

Other highlights include Park Pilot with front parking sensors, improved air-conditioning hardware and additional interior colour themes.

New 8-Speed Automatic Gearbox

The biggest mechanical change is the introduction of a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission with the 1.0-litre TSI engine. This replaces the outgoing 6-speed automatic and is being positioned by Skoda as a segment-first feature.

The 1.0 TSI engine continues to produce around 115hp and 178Nm, while buyers can also choose the more powerful 1.5 TSI engine producing around 150hp and 250Nm.

The 1.0 TSI is available with a 6-speed manual or the new 8-speed automatic, while the 1.5 TSI continues with a 7-speed DSG automatic. The 1.5 TSI versions also receive rear disc brakes.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Price in India

The official Slavia Facelift price is being announced on October 6, 2026, alongside the launch. Before the price announcement, reports estimated the new Slavia could be priced around ₹10.25 lakh to ₹19 lakh ex-showroom, although the final variant-wise prices should be taken only from Skoda’s official announcement.

Bookings for the facelifted sedan were already open ahead of launch, and deliveries are expected to begin during the festive season.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Rivals

The updated Slavia will continue to compete against popular midsize sedans including the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus. Its new automatic gearbox, 360-degree camera, rear-seat massage function and updated infotainment system could make it more attractive to buyers looking for a feature-rich petrol sedan.

Final Verdict

The Skoda Slavia Facelift 2026 is more of an evolutionary upgrade rather than a completely new-generation sedan. However, the combination of sharper styling, a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, 360-degree camera, rear-seat massage, upgraded displays and AI-powered connectivity makes the facelift considerably more appealing.

For buyers who prefer a petrol sedan with strong performance, European-inspired styling and a premium feature package, the new Slavia could become an interesting option in India’s midsize sedan segment.

Price and variant availability should be confirmed from Škoda Auto India after today’s official launch.
